ADDventure Community Programmes engage young people in alternative sport/exercise through the use of climbing and outdoor related activities. The activities are used as a social tool to encourage young people to communicate, trust, build confidence and increase self-esteem. All those who attend gain new skills that they can later apply to their everyday environment. The projects provide diversionary tactics to support those who are at risk of offending. The ADDventure Community Programmes enable young people to take part in activities that they were previously socially/economically excluded from and create new opportunities for young people from all areas, especially those from deprived wards.
